For a long-term software project in an international financial services environment, we are looking for an experienced freelance Software Quality Assurance professional with a strong focus on test automation. Your main responsibility will be to verify the correct implementation of functional requirements, apply modern test automation methods efficiently, and assess non-functional software quality characteristics.

- Location: Primarily remote, with on-site presence at the project location in Budapest required at least once per week

Your responsibilities:
- Create and maintain test cases and test scripts
- Coordinate and implement continuous testing
- Assess changes to software systems and actively participate in the release approval process
- Plan and coordinate cross-product testing activities and ensure timely execution within the development process
- Provide stakeholders with transparent and proactive information, including on critical topics
- Ensure clear and traceable documentation of test scope, results, status, and root cause analysis
Your profile:
- Very good knowledge of Playwright and test automation
- Strong interest in automation, artificial intelligence, and innovative technologies
- High degree of ownership and ability to quickly familiarise yourself with new topics
- Knowledge of agile software development, particularly Scrum or Kanban
- Understanding of technical and business-related dependencies within complex IT systems
- Experience in banking or financial services is an advantage
- Basic understanding of Requirements Engineering and Software Development is an advantage
- Knowledge of software testing (e.g., ISTQB) is an advantage
- Basic programming skills (e.g., SQL or object-oriented languages) are an advantage
- Experience using testing tools such as Xray is an advantage
