Bitpanda GmbH in Vienna, Austria, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Java) for its evergreen backend role. You will own, design, and scale highly available services powering our financial platform, building with Java, Spring Boot, and modern microservices.

Collaborate with product, risk, compliance and finance teams to ensure performance, reliability, and regulatory alignment while expanding across Europe.

Qualifikationen

• Advanced knowledge of Java with Spring Boot in backend development.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases, esp. Postgres and MongoDB.
• Experience designing REST APIs and event-driven microservices.
• Familiarity with cloud-native environments (AWS) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).

Aufgaben

• Architect and build scalable, resilient, message-driven services using Java.
• Ensure code quality with unit tests and end-to-end/integration testing before deployment.
• Scale core backend modules for reliability, performance, and maintainability.
• Drive technical innovation by adopting latest backend trends and technologies.
• Lead by example, mentoring junior and mid-level developers.
