Job summary

Greiner is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure professional to own and advance our core enterprise infrastructure. The role emphasizes end-to-end understanding of modern data center operations, virtualization (VMware), databases, monitoring, and lifecycle management, with collaboration across internal teams and external partners.

You will contribute to standardizing, consolidating and developing infrastructure services, ensuring stable and secure operation and integrating new technologies,

Qualifications

• Extensive experience operating and developing complex enterprise IT infrastructures.
• Strong knowledge of servers, operating systems and databases.
• Experience with virtualization, storage, backup/recovery, networking, and security.
• Excellent German and English language skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and develop the data center infrastructure.
• Administer and develop virtualization environment focusing on VMware.
• Ensure stable, high-performance, highly available central infrastructure platforms.
• Support and develop backup and recovery infrastructure.
• Operate central monitoring solutions for systems and services.
• Manage Microsoft SQL Server clusters and related components.
• Collaborate on infrastructure projects, migrations and lifecycle management.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors/partners.
• Develop and document technical standards and operational processes.
