Job summary

enspired GmbH in Vienna seeks a Senior Algorithm Development Expert to design and optimize automated trading strategies for energy assets. You will own substantial algorithmic work, ensuring quality through rigorous testing and production-grade software.

You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, apply advanced quantitative methods, and help advance AI-assisted development while maintaining high engineering standards. Relocation is supported for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Experience developing algorithms in compiled languages (Go, Rust, C++, Java, C#)
• Hands-on experience building production algorithms or quantitative systems
• Strong problem-solving and numerical reasoning with CS/Math/Engineering background
• Proficient in writing clear, well-tested production code and collaborating with engineers
• Knowledge of data analysis and model limitations, production data usage

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and improve asset-backed optimization and trading algorithms
• Translate optimization problems into maintainable production code and practical enhancements
• Collaborate with Product Owner and Team Lead to clarify requirements and evaluate options
• Develop backtests, simulations and experiments to evaluate performance
• Analyze live trading data to identify weaknesses and drive improvements
• Build diagnostics, observability and safe operating behavior into algorithms
• Take ownership of code quality through reviews, testing and safe releases
• Share knowledge through reviews, pairing and documentation
• Contribute to discovery, pilots, backtesting and new-market enablement
