Job summary

ams OSRAM AG in Austria seeks an Electrical Engineer for Facility Management (m/f/d) on a temporary basis through 10/2027. You will design, install, maintain and supervise power supply and distribution systems, operate PLCs, create wiring diagrams with EPLAN, and coordinate with other facility departments and contractors.

Candidates bring 10+ years in industrial electrical environments, strong standards knowledge, and fluency in German; English is good; on-call availability is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in operation and maintenance of industrial electrical installations.
• Deep knowledge of applicable electrical engineering standards.
• Technical expertise in 20 kV power supply systems, UPS and emergency power systems.
• Hands-on experience with high-power power supply and distribution systems at various voltages.
• Experience in electrical engineering design and implementation of facility systems.
• Willingness to be on call for one week per month (7 days a week).
• Proficiency with standard PC software and PLC software.
• Very good German and good English language skills.
• Ability to work independently and flexibly.

Responsibilities

• Electrical engineering design, implementation and supervision of new installations and extensions to existing power supply and distribution systems.
• Design and creation of electrical circuit diagrams using EPLAN
• Operation, servicing, maintenance and fault analysis of electrical supply systems, including 20 kV, UPS and emergency power systems
• Carrying out electrical installation, repair and testing work
• Technical documentation and maintenance of relevant system data
• Operation and programming of PLC systems
• Management and programming of the energy monitoring system, including the integration of energy meters
• Support for planning and construction projects
• Project coordination with other facility departments and supervision of external contractors
