Job summary

LSP – Light Sensors & Photonics, a business unit within ams OSRAM, seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer for the operation, maintenance and expansion of industrial electrical installations. The role requires designing with EPLAN, managing high-voltage and UPS systems, and coordinating with facilities teams and external contractors.

Responsibilities include on-site electrical work, fault analysis, system documentation, and PLC programming.

Qualifications

Electrical engineering qualification (Befähigungsprüfung) or equivalent.
10+ years of experience in operation and maintenance of industrial electrical installations.
Deep knowledge of relevant electrical engineering standards.
Experience with 20 kV power supply, UPS and emergency systems.
Hands-on experience with high-power power supply and distribution systems.
Willingness to be on call one week per month (7 days).
Proficiency in standard PC software and PLC software.
Very good German and good English skills.

Responsibilities

Design, implement and supervise new and existing electrical installations and extensions.
Create electrical circuit diagrams using EPLAN.
Operate, service and fault analyze electrical supply systems incl. 20 kV, UPS and emergency power.
Carry out electrical installation, repair and testing work.
Maintain technical documentation and system data.
Program PLC systems and energy monitoring with meters integration.
Support planning and construction projects and coordinate with external contractors.
