Zusammenfassung

UBIMET is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to evolve our infrastructure in Vienna. You will drive migration from VM stacks to containerized and orchestrated environments using Podman and Kubernetes, while improving automation and CI/CD capabilities.

You will collaborate with development teams to ensure reliable, scalable weather-service platforms, and contribute to the documentation and training of the team in DevOps best practices.

Qualifikationen

Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (Debian flavors preferred).
Hands-on experience with containerization (Podman) and Kubernetes in high-availability environments.
Experience with on-prem infrastructure and self-managed Kubernetes clusters.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control systems.
Ability to document and share knowledge (Confluence).
Fluency in English; German is a plus.

Aufgaben

Spearhead migration of VM stack to containerized/orchestrated environments (Podman, Kubernetes).
Design, implement, and manage automation for infrastructure (GitOps).
Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines for deployment efficiency.
Monitor, troubleshoot performance, reliability, and security issues.
Collaborate with development teams for smooth migration and deployment.
Document system configurations, processes, and procedures for knowledge sharing and compliance.
Train the team on DevOps practices and methodology.
