Zusammenfassung

Enery invites a Senior Backend Engineer to own the backend and integration layer of our internal platform, connecting a renewable fleet, a data warehouse, and business tools. You will set architecture, write code, and drive integration strategies across data and cloud services.

You will work with a diverse team to design scalable APIs, manage identity and secrets, and mentor peers while ensuring reliability in production environments.

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years of professional backend experience with senior level responsibilities.
• Strong Python for long-running services (async/ASGI) including background workers and queues.
• Experience operating always-on systems in production with logging, alerting and on-call readiness.
• Familiarity with industrial or real-time protocols (Modbus TCP, OPC UA, IEC 60870-5-104).
• Experience in at least one statically typed language (Go, Rust, Java) alongside Python.
• Relational databases expertise; exposure to analytical warehouses (Snowflake/BigQuery/Redshift) a plus.
• Production experience with AWS, including IaC, IAM and secrets management; SSO/IAM know-how.
• API design instinct for REST or GraphQL with versioning and error contracts.
• Professional English proficiency; European language skills are a plus.

Aufgaben

• Own the platform backend: identity, access control, logging, and shared services.
• Design and build integrations to data warehouse, cloud estate, and external systems (Microsoft 365, data providers).
• Develop the integration layer to plants and markets: telemetry, APIs for energy-exchange and market data.
• Set architectural direction on API design, service boundaries, authentication and secrets management.
• Collaborate with Data on Snowflake reads and with DevOps on deployment, observability, and CI/CD.
• Mentor developers through code reviews and pairing; establish coding standards.
• Lead on-call rotations for the backend once the platform is live.
