fiskaly GmbH is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer (Golang) in Vienna with a preference for local candidates but open to remote in Austria or Poland. The role focuses on architecting API‑first SaaS solutions, scaling distributed systems, and delivering high‑quality code with AI-assisted tools.

You will work in a hybrid setup with flexible hours, contribute to end‑to‑end software lifecycle, and mentor teammates in a fast‑growing fintech environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend development experience with Golang.
• Strong understanding of OOP/SOLID principles.
• Experience with distributed systems and scalable architectures.
• Cloud experience (GCP preferred).
• Ability to mentor teammates and communicate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build resilient, high‑performance microservices in Golang (End‑to‑End).
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to speed up boilerplate, tests, and docs.
• Drive Continuous Delivery with GitOps, automated testing, and monitoring.
• Design a unified, well‑typed API interface and self‑documenting services.
• Integrate ML/AI capabilities to add value, e.g., anomaly detection.
• Lead and mentor junior developers in a modern, automated cloud environment.
