Job summary

Accenture PLC in Vienna is seeking a hands-on AI Engineer to design, implement, and operate AI system components across modern ML frameworks. You will work with data engineers and developers to deliver robust, scalable AI solutions in client engagements and evolve toward lead engineer or architect roles.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, coding, building advanced AI solutions using agentic, generative and classical AI/ML
• Experience in the Agentic, LLM and Generative AI space
• Experience architecting and operationalizing LLM driven application architecture patterns
• Proficiency with coding and engineering, machine learning, deep learning and NLP solutions and applications
• Coding experience using Python

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and configure agents and integrate them into multi-agent workflows
• Implement agent orchestration logic with task handoffs, communication, and error recovery
• Build evaluation harnesses and test suites for agent and component quality
• Integrate foundation models into applications and choose appropriate model call patterns
• Build and run model fine-tuning pipelines and adapt models to business domains
• Build ingestion pipelines for unstructured content and enable retrieval
• Implement embedding generation, vector databases, and retrieval components for RAG pipelines
• Assemble prompts and manage model context
• Implement memory components to store and recall history
• Implement input/output guardrails and content filtering
• Build PII detection and redaction components with access controls
• Versioning, audit logs and lineage tracking; maintain model docs
• Instrument components with logging and tracing
• Contribute to monitoring, alerts and cost tracking
• Learn and apply new design patterns and frameworks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements
• Create and maintain technical documentation for the components
