Job summary

ZIMM Group GmbH in Lustenau, Austria, is looking for a result-driven technical sales professional who can turn inquiries into profitable projects. With a background in mechanical engineering or drive technology, you will develop customers and close deals while expanding our European footprint.

You will identify technically feasible and economically viable solutions, work independently, and travel about 15–20% for customer visits and trade fairs.

Qualifications

• Technical education or degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, drive technology, or a comparable field.
• Several years of experience in technical sales and ability to develop customers and close deals.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, persistence, and track record of project completion.
• Independent, responsible, and able to travel 15–20% for customer visits and trade fairs.

• You inspire customers with our solutions and develop long-term partnerships from them.
• You quickly recognize what is technically feasible and economically viable.
• You get projects moving, keep them on track, and lead them to a successful conclusion.
• You diligently follow up on quotations and make the difference between "interest" and "order".
• You think entrepreneurially, act independently, and actively contribute to ZIMM’s growth.
• You monitor the market, identify opportunities at an early stage, and bring fresh impulses to the team.

Your Profile

• You have a technical education or degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, drive technology, or a comparable field.
• You already have several years of experience in technical sales and know how to develop customers and successfully close business deals
• For you, selling is not an obligation but a passion. You identify opportunities, stay persistent, and bring projects to completion.
• You work independently, think entrepreneurially, and take responsibility for your success.
• You impress with strong communication skills, negotiation expertise, and a professional appearance.
• Excellent English skills are required. German and additional foreign languages are an advantage.
• You are willing to travel approximately 15–20% for customer visits, trade fairs, and sales activities.
