Job summary

SME Careers is seeking an expert German localization contractor to review AI-generated responses and craft high-quality language content. The role is hourly-paid, fully remote, and requires meticulous evaluation of accuracy, clarity, and cultural nuance across German and English prompts.

You will apply MQM/LQA concepts, provide model explanations, and rate AI outputs for correctness and reasoning. Based in Germany, you will join a fast-growing AI data services company and collaborate across time

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in German Translation, Linguistics, Localization, Communications, or related field.
• Native or near-native German proficiency with strong locale conventions for Germany.
• Minimum C1 English proficiency (reading/writing) for interpreting prompts, sources, and evaluation guidelines.
• 5+ years of professional localization/translation experience.
• Demonstrated ability to apply MQM/LQA concepts to produce consistent quality decisions.
• Proficiency with CAT tools and QA workflows and comfort working with structured guidelines.
• Excellent editorial judgment with attention to detail.
• Ability to rigorously fact-check localized content using reliable sources and consistent reasoning.
• Location requirement: Germany-based candidates only.

Responsibilities
