SME Careers is seeking a senior German localization specialist to join our AI data services network. You will review and generate German content, evaluate AI responses, and provide expert feedback to ensure accuracy and clear reasoning across use cases.

The role emphasizes MQM/LQA concepts, CAT tools, and strict adherence to localization guidelines. This is an hourly remote contractor position with Germany-based candidates preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in German Translation, Linguistics, Localization, or related field.
• Native or near-native German; strong Germany locale conventions.
• Minimum C1 English proficiency for prompts and guidelines.
• 5+ years of professional localization/translation experience.
• MQM/LQA concepts to produce consistent quality decisions.
• Proficiency with CAT tools and QA workflows; comfortable with structured guidelines.
• Excellent editorial judgment with attention to detail.
• Location: Germany-based candidates only.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI Training Content: Create detailed prompts and responses to guide AI learning across topics.
• Optimize AI Performance: Evaluate and rank AI responses to improve accuracy, fluency, and context.
• Ensure Model Integrity: Test AI models for inaccuracies or biases and validate reliability across use cases.
