Job summary

SME Careers is seeking a contractor expert in language localization to review and generate German-language content for AI training and evaluation. You will craft prompts, assess AI responses for accuracy and clarity, and provide high-quality explanations and model solutions.

Strong MQM/LQA judgment and CAT tools proficiency are essential for consistent results. This hourly remote role requires native or near-native German, C1 English, and 5+ years in localization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in German translation, linguistics, localization or related field.
• Native or near-native German with strong Germany locale conventions.
• Minimum C1 English reading/writing proficiency.
• 5+ years localization/translation experience across multilingual content.
• Apply MQM/LQA concepts to produce consistent quality decisions.
• Proficient with CAT tools and QA workflows; follow structured guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI training content: prompts and responses to guide learning.
• Evaluate AI responses to improve accuracy, fluency and context.
• Identify errors in methodology, fact-check and explain clarifications.
