Aeolus Robotics in Vienna is seeking a Robotics Systems & Embedded Engineer to bridge the firmware and hardware of our autonomous service robots. You will work at the intersection of sensor fusion, real-time control, and software that runs on embedded platforms, ensuring reliable operation in dynamic human environments.

You will test on real robots here in Vienna, optimize performance, and collaborate with an international team to push robustness, maintainability, and scalable ROS-based systems.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years of professional software development, ideally in robotics.
• MSc or PhD in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Expert-level C++ and Linux; embedded/firmware development experience.
• Familiarity with hardware communication protocols and ROS/ROS2.

Aufgaben

• Design and implement real-time software for robotic components, focusing on sensor integration and arm control.
• Maintain C++ interfaces exposing hardware to navigation and perception stacks with reliability.
• Calibrate sensors and ensure robust data flow from hardware to ROS-based systems.
• Work with physical robots in Vienna for testing, debugging, and optimization.
• Collaborate with global teams to troubleshoot hardware-software interface issues and implement error recovery.
• Write clean, production-grade code with thorough documentation.
