Zusammenfassung

Flybotix is seeking a hands-on Robotics Software Engineer to shape embedded and mobile software powering our drones and ground control stations, influencing autonomous navigation, real-time control and user experience.

You will design GUI, embedded software and ROS2 pipelines, while optimizing memory, multithreading and performance in constrained environments. English communication is essential; French is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of embedded and mobile software development for robotics, drones or real-time apps.
• Proficiency in Rust as the main language for performance-critical parts.
• C++ experience for embedded systems and optimization.
• ROS2 expertise for robotics middleware and gstreamer for video pipelines.
• Familiarity with embedded Linux, containerization, ARM-based systems, video encoding/decoding.
• GUI development with egui or Qt; 3D visualization with OpenGL/Vulkan or Unity/Unreal.
• Strong memory management, multithreading and real-time debugging skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and clean-code mindset; good English; French is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Build and enhance the GUI for ground control station, telemetry, and data visualization.
• Design, develop and maintain embedded software for onboard computers and data streaming.
• Collaborate with software and firmware engineers to optimize performance.
• Develop and maintain communication protocols between drone, ground station and cloud.
• Optimize memory usage and reliability in resource-constrained environments.
• Maintain code quality with tests, CI/CD and code reviews.
• Contribute to architectural decisions balancing performance, scalability and usability.
