PDL Global Recruitment is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a portfolio of high-profile blue-chip projects across Europe. You will take responsibility for major commercial packages and work closely with project teams to drive value and cost control.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, strong knowledge of contracts, procurement and cost reporting, and the ability to travel across Europe.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with senior level responsibilities.
• Experience on large-scale commercial, industrial, data centre, pharmaceutical or blue-chip projects.
• Strong knowledge of contracts, commercial management and procurement.

Aufgaben

• Take full commercial responsibility for assigned projects from pre-construction to final account.
• Prepare, manage and monitor budgets, forecasts and cash flow.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, tendering and commercial agreements.
• Prepare and review valuations, payments, variations and final accounts.
• Monitor costs against budgets and identify risks and opportunities.
• Manage contractual correspondence, notices, claims and extensions of time.
• Review and negotiate subcontractor accounts and ensure compliance.
• Provide monthly cost/value reporting to senior management and stakeholders.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Commercial Managers, Contracts Managers, Design Teams and site personnel.
• Identify and manage commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist with contract administration and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Support the resolution of commercial disputes where required.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team, working on a portfolio of high-profile blue-chip projects across Europe.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Senior QS to take responsibility for major construction packages within a fast-paced, technically demanding environment. The successful candidate will have strong commercial and contractual experience, with exposure to large-scale projects and complex subcontractor packages.

Experience within the roofing, cladding, façade or building envelope sectors would be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full commercial responsibility for assigned projects and packages from pre-construction through to final account.

  Ideal Candidate

  The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • 5+ years' experience working as a Quantity Surveyor, with significant experience at Senior QS level.
  • Proven experience working on large-scale commercial, industrial, data centre, pharmaceutical, manufacturing or other blue-chip projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, commercial management and procurement.
  • Experience managing significant subcontractor packages and project values.
  • Strong understanding of variations, claims, valuations, final accounts and cost reporting.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • A commercially focused and proactive approach.
  • Ability to work independently while operating effectively within a wider project team.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.Willingness and ability to travel across Europe.

  Roofing & Cladding Experience – Highly Desirable

  Experience within the roofing, cladding, façade or building envelope industry would be a significant advantage.
