World Data Lab GmbH in Vienna seeks a Data Insights Associate to join our public sector engagements team. You will translate complex datasets into clear insights for policy clients and support live engagements, decks and briefing notes, collaborating with data science and business development colleagues.

You will join client calls, present results, and help shape how we grow our public sector work. This role sits in a mission-driven, global organization with a hybrid working model.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in data science, economics, statistics or a related field.
• Strong foundation in data science, coding and quantitative analysis.
• Proficiency in R and Excel; other programming languages a plus.
• Academic or professional background in public policy, economics or a related discipline that connects to public sector research and analysis.
• Ability to turn complex findings into clear insights for people who are not analysts.
• Strong data cleaning and processing skills with large datasets.
• Good knowledge of statistical and econometric methods.
• Confident communication and presentation skills, including with clients.
• Collaborative teamwork across functions and international teams.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus but not required.

• Data storytelling and visualization using World Data Lab datasets and external sources.
• Provide hands-on support on data-focused client projects including coding and QA.
• Prepare decks and briefing notes; present results on client calls.
• Collaborate across global offices to strengthen the public sector pipeline.
