• Life Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Physics.
• 1-3 years of R&D experience in measuring and detection technologies.
• Proven ability to perform systems integration and verification against defined requirements.
• Creative problem-solver with strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electro-mechanical, optical, communication, and control systems.
• Very good English language skills; German language proficiency is a plus.

As our new Systems Engineer (m/f/d) you will play a key part in sustaining our products throughout their entire lifecycle—from launch to end-of-life. Beyond supporting existing products, you will also take on a technical leadership role focused on the scoping, development, and implementation of custom design solutions to meet specific customer needs across a broad range of Molecular Devices’ standard product offerings.

You will collaborate with a highly skilled technical team and work closely with stakeholders including manufacturing, service, product management, application scientists, and product development. Together, you will drive improvements and enhancements to our high-precision electro-mechanical and optical systems.

This position reports to the Global FIT Manager and is a part of the Engineering Team located in Puch bei Hallein, Salzburg, Austria and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Familiarity with Microplate Readers and Clone Screening Automation
• Experience working professionally with Operations technicians and manufacturing engineers

For this position, the collective agreement for the electrical and electronics industry applies; the minimum monthly gross salary is € 4.341,85 (based full-time employment), with willingness to pay more depending on qualifications and experience.
