Company Description

As the IT of the REWE Group Austria, we work together with our more than 700 employees to develop innovative IT products and services for all our corporate divisions in Austria and abroad, setting the tone for modern trade.

We are shaping the future of customer data management across Austria and the CEE region. As part of our Marketing & CRM organization, we develop, operate, and continuously improve products that ensure high-quality customer data and enable meaningful, data‑driven interactions.

In your role as Product Owner - Customer Master Data, you will lead your team both disciplinarily and professionally. You will work closely with business units, IT partners, and other product teams to drive a stable, high-performing customer data landscape. You own the product end‑to‑end — strategy, vision, roadmap, budget, and operational excellence — and ensure that our customer data ecosystem evolves to meet the needs of tomorrow.

Job Description
  • You hold full end‑to‑end responsibility for your product and your team, including strategic direction, operational stability, budget management, and team leadership.
  • You own and continuously refine the product vision, product strategy, and the roadmap for all customer data systems across Austria and CEE.
  • Together with your team and stakeholders, you identify and prioritize business and technical requirements, ensuring high-quality delivery.
  • You understand the technical and functional scope of your systems and drive their development to meet future business needs.
  • You act as the primary contact point for internal departments, key users, IT teams, and external partners on all product-related matters.
  • You ensure a stable and robust product environment, balancing project work, system enhancements, and operational tasks.
  • You foster an open feedback culture and encourage continuous learning and improvement within the team.
  • As part of the wider Product Owner community, you contribute to cross-team collaboration, alignment, and the further development of the Customer Data ecosystem.
Qualifications
  • You bring solid IT affinity or a relevant technical/business education paired with experience in product ownership, CRM, master data management, or complex project coordination.
  • You have leadership experience and enjoy guiding, developing, and empowering teams.
  • You communicate clearly and confidently with diverse stakeholders and build strong working relationships across business and IT.
  • You combine strategic thinking with hands‑on problem‑solving skills and can translate business needs into technical requirements — and vice versa.
  • You have experience working in an international environment and collaborating with stakeholders across multiple countries.
  • You ideally bring knowledge of customer data systems or CRM technologies.
  • Experience with handling user accounts, master data management and identity provider is beneficial.
  • You work structured, are resilient in demanding phases, and maintain a customer-driven mindset.
  • B2 English proficiency; additional languages are beneficial.
Additional Information
  • Long-term, interesting and varied work for a reliable employer in a supportive team
  • A family-friendly company culture with flexible working hours and remote working options available according to your individual needs
  • Numerous training and further development opportunities within the Group (5% of working time for self-organized training and education)
  • Staff shopping and travel discounts
  • Easy public access and on-site parking
  • An attractive annual gross salary, market-compliant and performance-related, starting at EUR 85.000 with the possibility of higher pay based on your qualifications and professional experience
