University of Vienna invites applications for the position of University assistant predoctoral in Vienna. Start date is 01.10.2026 with 30 hours per week under the praedoc framework; the contract runs four years with an initial limited period.

The role combines research, teaching, and doctoral work. You will design and conduct studies, publish results in international journals, supervise students, and participate in acquiring third‑party funding.

Qualifikationen

• Degree qualified in psychology (Bachelor and Master or Diploma studies).
• Strong research interests in differential psychology and diagnostics.
• Experience planning, conducting, and statistical analysis of empirical studies.
• Advanced knowledge of statistical analysis programs (JASP, R) and motivation to develop these competencies.
• Excellent command of written and spoken German and English.
• Ability to work in a team and strong organizational skills.
• Motivation for participating in academic teaching.

Aufgaben

• Designing and conducting empirical studies.
• Publication of research results in international scientific journals.
• Sign a doctoral thesis agreement within 12–18 months.
• Participation in teaching and independent teaching of courses (as defined by the collective agreement).
• Participation in acquiring third‑party funding.
• Organization and participation at meetings, conferences, symposiums.
• Supervision of students.
