Zusammenfassung

IIASA's Energy, Climate, and Environment program seeks a Researcher (R1) or Research Scholar (R2) to advance the Pathways workstream, developing mitigation pathways that reduce residual gross emissions across three IAMs. The role collaborates with co-leads to identify innovation gaps and coordinate modelling teams for cross-model synthesis.

The position involves implementing modelling protocols, integrating guardrails, processing IAMC data, and contributing to reports and publications while

Qualifikationen

Master's (R1) or PhD (R2) in energy systems or related field
Knowledge of IAM and mitigation scenario analysis including residual emissions
Proficient in Python for data analysis with reproducible workflows
Experience with IAMC-format data and modelling frameworks (MESSAGEix/REMIND/GCAM) is a plus
Fluent in English with strong presentation skills
