Zusammenfassung

IIASA, located in Laxenburg near Vienna, Austria, is seeking a Researcher (R1) to support the Pathways workstream within the Exploring Real Zero project. The role focuses on day-to-day coordination and scientific output in an international modelling collaboration.

The position offers a 1-year full-time contract with flexible arrangements; expected to start as soon as possible and no later than January 2027.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in energy, climate or environmental sciences or related field.
• Strong organisational skills with experience coordinating meetings or multi-partner activities.
• Familiarity with climate mitigation scenarios and IPCC literature is a plus.
• Excellent written English and ability to synthesise technical material for varied audiences.

Aufgaben

• Coordinate cross-team modelling coordination across partners.
• Maintain workstream deliverable and milestone tracking.
• Support cross-model assessment and manage literature and data repositories.
• Process scenario data and produce figures, learning reports and briefing materials.
• Contribute drafting input to quarterly reports and policy briefing packs.
• Support preparation of project events and science communication materials.
