The Precision Mechanisms group at CSEM in Neuchâtel seeks a Design & Analysis Engineer to advance analytical and numerical modelling for precision mechanisms and optomechatronic systems. You will develop concepts, build validated models, and guide design decisions from concept through to manufactured parts, ensuring engineering judgement aligns with test evidence.
You will work across multidisciplinary teams, applying analytical and simulation methods to reduce risk and improve performance,
Qualifikationen
- Master's degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Strong knowledge of solid mechanics and engineering modelling.
- Experience with analytical methods, FEM and multiphysics simulations.
Aufgaben
- Develop concepts for precision mechanisms in multidisciplinary projects involving mechanics, optics, electronics and control.
- Select and apply fit-for-purpose analytical and simulation-based approaches to guide design decisions.
- Define validation approaches and contribute to test campaigns, correlating models with test results.
- Prepare clear technical documentation and present methods, assumptions and results during reviews.
- Contribute to research and innovation by developing new technology building blocks and publishing results.
- Support business development by contributing to technical and commercial proposals.
