CSEM invites a Senior Precision Mechanical Engineer to join the Precision Mechanisms group in Neuchatel. The role covers full lifecycle from concept to testing, owning mechanical work packages and coordinating suppliers for high-precision space hardware.

You will work with systems, optics, electronics, and thermal teams, including cleanroom assembly and environmental testing, to deliver robust, manufacturable hardware.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Senior-level experience in development, manufacture, assembly, integration and testing of precision mechanisms.
• Ability to own mechanical work packages and coordinate subcontractors.

Aufgaben

• Design precision mechanisms and optomechanical interfaces with 3D models and drawings.
• Prepare procurement specs and coordinate suppliers/subcontractors.
• Own mechanical work packages from concept through manufacturing and testing.
• Lead assembly and integration in cleanroom or contamination-sensitive environments.
• Plan and execute performance and environmental tests on-site and off-site.
• Contribute to risk analyses, design reviews and root-cause investigations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across systems, optics, electronics, and thermal engineering.
