Partner Company is seeking a Nature-based Solutions Analyst based in Switzerland to drive rigorous evaluation of nature-based projects. You will combine environmental science with remote sensing, carbon modelling, and market research to support client portfolios and high-integrity investments.

You will collaborate with an international team, contribute to analytical frameworks, and communicate complex findings clearly to stakeholders within a purpose-driven climate action setting.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree or PhD in environmental science or related field (forestry, ecosystem restoration, carbon sequestration).
• 3–5 years of experience in due diligence, project development, assessment, or monitoring of nature-based solutions.
• Strong knowledge of nature-based carbon methodologies, verification standards, and monitoring approaches.
• Experience with remote sensing and carbon modelling to support project assessments.
• Ability to translate scientific outputs into actionable client recommendations.
• Fluency in English; German is a plus.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the development and assessment of high-integrity nature-based solutions. You will conduct rigorous due diligence and monitoring of nature-based carbon projects across client portfolios. Your analysis will help organizations make informed decisions about carbon removal and nature-positive investments. You'll combine environmental science expertise with remote sensing, carbon modelling, market research, and project assessment. The role also involves helping strengthen analytical frameworks in line with evolving scientific and industry standards. You'll collaborate with an international team as well as external technical experts and project partners. Accountabilities

• Apply a structured Nature Analytics Framework to assess and continuously monitor nature-based solution projects within client portfolios.
• Conduct rigorous project due diligence and provide clear, evidence-based, and actionable insights to support investment and portfolio decisions.
• Review carbon projections developed by project developers and assess their underlying assumptions, methodologies, and expected outcomes.
• Conduct remote sensing analyses to evaluate project eligibility, land-use characteristics, environmental conditions, and other relevant project attributes.
• Contribute to the continuous development and refinement of the Nature Analytics Framework, incorporating emerging scientific evidence, market developments, and best practices.
• Monitor developments in carbon market standards, nature-based methodologies, verification frameworks, and environmental monitoring technologies.
• Build and maintain internal knowledge and intelligence on emerging approaches to nature-based carbon projects and ecosystem restoration.
• Translate complex technical and scientific findings into clear insights that can be communicated to clients and other stakeholders.
• Support content and knowledge-sharing initiatives by contributing insightful and innovative perspectives on nature-based solutions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external technical advisors, scientific experts, project developers, and other relevant partners.
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary and international teams to strengthen project assessment processes and advance high-integrity nature-based solutions.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD, preferably in environmental science or a related discipline, with a focus on forestry, nature conservation, ecosystem restoration, carbon sequestration, or a comparable field.
• 3-5 years of professional experience in due diligence, project development, assessment, or monitoring of nature-based solutions projects.
• Strong knowledge of nature-based carbon methodologies, verification standards, certification frameworks, and relevant monitoring approaches.
• Demonstrated expertise in remote sensing and carbon modelling, with the ability to interpret and apply analytical outputs to project assessments.
• Good understanding of the scientific, environmental, and technical factors influencing the quality and integrity of nature-based carbon projects.
• Established network of experts, practitioners, technical advisors, or other stakeholders within the nature-based solutions ecosystem.
• Strong analytical and research capabilities, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to evaluate complex technical information critically.
• Ability to translate scientific and technical findings into concise, practical, and actionable recommendations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluent English is required for working in an international environment; German language skills are an advantage.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while taking ownership of individual projects and deliverables.
• Genuine interest in climate action, ecosystem restoration, biodiversity, and the development of high-integrity nature-based solutions.
