Snap Inc. is seeking an on-site hardware engineer to own the calibration lab's fixtures, targets, lighting, and camera rigs, bridging the local software/CV team with remote ME/EE colleagues.

You will design fixtures, build prototype circuits, integrate sensors, and ensure repeatable calibration stations. This role demands hands-on hardware development, strong mechanical and electrical skills, and a practical, data-driven mindset as priorities shift.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Mechatronics, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field with 3+ years lab hardware experience.
• Ability to read CAD models and manufacturing drawings.
• Experience building fixtures, jigs, or mechanisms including 3D-printed parts.
• Ability to read/modify Python scripts.

Responsabilités

• Own the calibration lab hardware: fixtures, targets, lighting, and camera rigs.
• Design and build fixtures, jigs, and simple mechanisms (CAD, 3D printing, machine shop).
• Read and modify the Python scripts that drive lab hardware.
• Document setups and procedures; manage vendors, parts, and lab upkeep.
