Job summary

Snap Inc. is seeking an on-site hardware engineer to own the calibration lab and its fixtures, lighting, and camera rigs. You will build fixtures and simple mechanisms, assemble prototype circuits, and integrate sensors with software from our CV team.

You will also read and modify Python scripts that control lab hardware and coordinate with remote ME/EE teams. The role requires solid mechatronics foundations, hands-on lab experience, and the ability to translate data into actionable hardware

Qualifications

• Must have a degree in a technical field and hands-on hardware experience.
• Experience designing, prototyping and validating hardware systems.
• Strong reading and modification of Python scripts for lab automation.

Responsibilities

• Own the calibration lab hardware: fixtures, targets, lighting, and camera rigs.
• Design and build fixtures, jigs, and simple mechanisms (CAD, 3D printing).
• Build prototype circuits and wiring; integrate sensors, lighting, and triggers.
• Read and modify Python scripts that drive lab hardware; fix drift and issues.
