European Investment Bank (EIB) seeks to recruit an Associate Officer for Regulatory Capital and Capital Policy at its Luxembourg headquarters. The role focuses on maintaining capital requirements frameworks, monthly capital ratio calculations, reporting, and MDB Capital Adequacy Framework initiatives.

The position is full-time and temporary (Grade 4) until 15.12.2027, with relocation support and an international working environment. Panel interviews are anticipated for late 2026.

Qualifications

• University degree (minimum equivalent to a Bachelor). Post-graduate studies would be an advantage.
• At least three years of relevant experience in capital requirements calculation or similar role in banking/finance.
• Familiarity with modern credit risk measurement methodologies; knowledge of Basel III/EBA guidelines BIS papers is beneficial.
• Proficient knowledge of MS Excel, VBA, SAS, Python or other programming languages.
• Solid IT background and ability to work with large data sets (SQL); familiarity with Business Objects is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Take an active role in monthly calculation and monitoring of key capital metrics for EIB Group; prepare reports and dashboards.
• Analyse capital metrics used by credit rating agencies and support related tools.
• Coordinate data quality checks and consolidate information for capital-related initiatives.
• Support resolution of internal audit findings and validation recommendations.
• Provide analytical support on capital management initiatives and ad hoc projects.
