Job summary

INNIO Group seeks a Lead Electrical Engineer for Container Electrical Equipment & Software Requirements. You will own the electrical scope, define software requirements for containerized BoP systems, and lead cross-functional collaboration with packaging partners, customers and manufacturing teams.

The role requires hands-on EPLAN P8 and PLC programming experience, strong project leadership, and excellent communication skills. Fluent English is required; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, master's, or HTL in Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience with Jenbacher gas engine technology and electrical system design for power generation.
• Hands-on experience with EPLAN P8 and PLC programming.
• Strong project management and technical leadership; ability to coordinate stakeholders.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own electrical equipment scope and installation concepts for containerized product developments and cost-out initiatives.
• Define and manage software requirements for container and BoP systems; coordinate inputs and maintain specs in Codebeamer.
• Lead electrical interface for new product introductions; work with packaging partners, customers and manufacturing teams.
• Represent the Container Platform Team in NPI project reviews.
• Develop electrical wiring diagrams for turnkey containerized power plant solutions.
• Drive supplier qualification activities, RFQ prep, evaluations and validation tests.

Your Responsibilities:

• Own the electrical equipment scope and installation concepts for new containerized product developments, complex project-specific designs, and product cost-out initiatives.
• Define and manage software requirements for container and Balance of Plant (BoP) systems, coordinating inputs from system owners and maintaining specifications in Codebeamer.
• Act as the lead electrical interface for new product introductions, working closely with external packaging partners, key customers and internal manufacturing teams.
• Represent the Container Platform Team in NPI project reviews.
• Develop electrical wiring diagrams for turnkey containerized power plant solutions.
• Drive supplier qualification activities, including RFQ preparation, technical evaluations and validation tests.

Your Profile:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering (Bachelor's, Master's, or Technical College/HTL).
• Proven experience in Jenbacher gas engine technology and electrical system design for power generation applications.
• Hands‑on experience with EPLAN P8 and PLC programming.
• Strong project management and technical leadership skills with the ability to coordinate cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Fluent in English; German language skills are an advantage.
• Collaborative, self‑driven, and solution‑oriented professional with excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
