INNIO Jenbacher in Austria seeks a documentation specialist to develop, manage and optimize technical documentation templates and tools for electrical engineering. You will support the template team within the Electrical Customer Engineering division and coordinate content applicability across documents.

The role focuses on document maintenance, usability, and further development aligned with customer requirements, including translation management and ERP/PLM system integration.

Qualifikationen

• Several years of professional experience in technical writing, content management, or systems engineering.
• Excellent written and spoken English and German.
• Knowledge of component content management structures.
• Hands‑on experience with SCHEMA ST4 is preferred.

• Own and govern technical documentation within the Electrical Customer Engineering division.
• Design and optimize editorial processes, pipelines, and documentation guidelines.
• Create, update and modularize standard‑compliant documentation in SCHEMA ST4.
• Manage metadata, taxonomies and modular content reuse across systems.
• Coordinate translation of technical docs with external providers.
• Support quality assurance for internally and externally created content.
• Contribute to integration with ERP (Oracle/Tacton), EPLAN P8, Automation Studio and Windchill.

In this role, you drive business success during project execution for INNIO Jenbacher gas engines and third-party power supply components. Your core responsibility is to develop, manage and optimize documentation templates and their associated software tools for electrical engineering.You provide technical support in your defined area of expertise and align the requirements of relevant functional areas with existing concepts.In addition to document maintenance and usability, this role also involves further development, optimization and expansion in accordance with customer requirements.You are part of the template team within the Electrical Customer Engineering department and coordinate the content and applicability across various documents.

Your Responsibilities:

• Document Responsibility: Subject-matter responsibility and contribution tothe strategic direction, quality, and continuous development of technical documentation within the Electrical Customer Engineering division
• Process Design: Standardization and continuous optimization of editorial processes, publication pipelines, and documentation guidelines
• Content Creation & Maintenance: Overseeing the creation, updating, and modular structure of standard-compliant documentation within SCHEMA ST4
• Information Architecture: Managing the metadata concept, taxonomies, and modular content reuse strategy within our systems
• Translation Management: Coordinating the translation of technical documentation into multiple languages in cooperation with external translation service providers
• Quality Gates: Participation in and implementation of quality assurance processes for internally and externally created content
• Applicability: Contribution to the integration of ERP (Oracle/Tacton), EPLAN P8, Automation Studio and PLM (Windchill) system environments

Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, or graduation from a Technical College (HTL), ideally with relevant professional experience
• Several years of professional experience in technical writing, content management, or systems engineering
• Expert knowledge of component content management structures, ideally with hands‑on experience in SCHEMA ST4
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German, with the ability to influence stakeholders and present key information effectively
• Strong interpersonal skills, team-player mentality, and the ability to collaborate smoothly across all levels of the organization
