Zusammenfassung

University of Graz seeks a First Stage Researcher to contribute to European Private Law research projects and to support teaching and examinations at the Institute for European Tort Law.

The role involves cooperation in funded projects, supervision of students, and administrative tasks, with a focus on Austrian Private Law knowledge. Proficiency in German and English is required, and the position offers part-time work.

Qualifikationen

• Completed diploma or master’s degree in law with above-average success.
• Good knowledge of Austrian Private Law and associated areas of law.
• Excellent German language skills (spoken and written).
• Very good English language skills (another foreign language desirable).
• Enjoyment of academic work and working with students.
• Didactic competence as well as experience in supporting research and teaching (desirable).
• Communication, organisational and team skills.

Aufgaben

• Cooperation in the institute’s third-party funded and other research projects at the Institute for European Tort Law of the Austrian Academy of Sciences and the University of Graz (place of work mainly Vienna, partially Graz).
• Conducting of and participation in courses.
• Assistance in the application for research projects.
• Participation in examinations and support in student supervision.
• Participation in organizational and administrative tasks as well as in evaluation measures.
