REDER Transportlogistik++ is seeking an IT professional to provide first-level support for colleagues and contribute to projects in transport operations, including Track & Trace and automation initiatives. You will work on in-house tools, scripts and interfaces to improve daily life for 400 staff.

The role emphasizes AI-driven development, modern infrastructure and opportunities for hands-on innovation in a small, agile IT team. German language skills are essential.

We are an Austrian transport company with around 400 staff across three sites. Our IT department supports around 50 workstations – small enough for you to see the whole picture from day one, yet large enough to ensure it never gets boring. From the network and servers to the software used in our transport operations, we handle a great deal in-house. We’re a small team, make quick decisions and enjoy trying out new things.

• Building the IT of tomorrow with AI – the further development and deployment of AI solutions are a key part of our IT landscape. The aim is to automate processes, detect faults at an early stage and increase efficiency in the long term. What you should bring to the role

• A completed HTL qualification (in software development, computer science or network technology) – or equivalent training
• Programming skills – to be honest, the specific language is of secondary importance to us
• An interest in AI and AI-supported working – you don’t need to be an expert, but you should be keen to get involved
• A Category B driving licence – we have three sites, and you’ll occasionally need to travel between them
• A willingness to help colleagues
• Very good command of German
• A love of DIY projects

Professional experience is expressly not a requirement. If you’ve just graduated from technical college, that’s fine. If you’ve already spent a few years in an in-house IT role and are keen for more creative freedom, that’s just as suitable – you’ll slot in accordingly.

What would be a plus (not essential)

• Experience in an in-house IT department or a systems integrator
• Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 administration, virtualisation
• Networking experience with VLANs, firewalls and Wi-Fi infrastructure
• Experience with transport or logistics software

Salary

For this role, we base our offer on the IT collective agreement and offer €2,900 gross per month (€40,600 annually) as a starting salary (paid 14 times a year, based on a 40-hour working week). With relevant professional experience or qualifications, you could earn more – we’d be happy to discuss this with you.
