Infineon Technologies Austria in Villach invites students in electronic engineering to join the chip design validation team. You will support mixed-signal and RF exposure work and learn data processing for radar applications.

The role offers flexible hours from Monday to Friday, with a minimum duration of 12 months. Bachelor or Master Thesis topics are available if requested.

Qualifikationen

• Pursuing a degree in Electronic Engineering, Microelectronics, or a related field.
• Strong foundation in mathematical concepts, circuit analysis, FFT, algorithms, or digital filtering.
• Proficiency in Matlab and strong programming skills.

• Mixed-Signal and RF exposure: gain experience with High-Speed PLLs, RF, mmWave, and integrated circuits.
• High-Speed and RF measurements: develop expertise with measurement setups and advanced RF/mmWave equipment.
• Data processing applications: learn data processing for digital communication and radar applications.
• Practical validation experience: gain hands-on validation and debugging experience.
• PCB design and prototyping: contribute to PCB design for product measurements and evaluate new tools.
• Comprehensive validation flow: understand validation processes, measurement setups, automation, and data analysis.

Your Role

We are looking for students with the willingness to work in a challenging environment within a highly motivated international team. This specific job is suitable for students within technical studies in the field of electronic engineering.

We are offering students the possibility to be a part of the chip design process by supporting the validation of new semiconductor solutions.

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Mixed-Signal and RF Exposure: Gain experience with Mixed-Signal High-Speed, RF, mmWave, and Integrated Circuits
• High-Speed and RF Measurements: Develop expertise in measurements related to High-Speed PLLs, Data Communication (Jitter, Eye Diagrams, BERT), and work with advanced RF/mmWave equipment
• Data Processing Applications: Acquire knowledge in data processing for digital communication and radar applications
• Practical Validation Experience: Gain hands-on experience in validation and debugging processes
• PCB Design and Prototyping: Contribute to the design of PCBs for product measurements and evaluate new tools and methodologies
• Comprehensive Validation Flow: Familiarize yourself with validation processes, defining measurement setups, automation, data post-processing, and analysis

Type of employment: Temporary / part-time or full-time (Flexible working hours from Monday to Friday between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m.)

Your Profile

Qualifications And Skills To Help You Succeed

• Educational Background: Pursuing a degree in Electronic Engineering, Microelectronics, or a related field
• Mathematical and Circuit Analysis Skills: Strong foundation in mathematical concepts, circuit analysis, FFT, algorithms, or digital filtering
• Programming and Software Knowledge: Proficiency in Matlab and strong programming skills
• Measurement Tools Proficiency: Familiarity with instruments such as Oscilloscopes, Signal Spectrum Analyzers, and Vector Network Analyzers
• Understanding of Electronic Circuits: Basic knowledge of Oscillators, PLLs, Transceivers, RF or mmWave Blocks, and RADAR hardware
• Interest in Data Processing: Demonstrated interest or potential experience in data processing for digital communication and radar applications
• Language and Work Style: Good English skills and a structured, precise working approach
