Job summary

Tieto Tech Consulting is seeking a Test Engineer to join our DACH team and help build reliable digital solutions. You will perform manual tests, develop automated tests, and validate APIs while integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines and exploring AI-driven quality improvements.

Based in Austria with flexible hybrid working models, you will collaborate with cross-functional colleagues and shape robust testing practices across applications and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Hands-on testing across manual and automated approaches.
• ISTQB Foundation certification; Advanced level is a plus.
• Structured, precise mindset with initiative and ownership.
• Experience in performance/load testing and cloud/container systems (OpenShift, Azure).
• Testing of event streams, message validation, producers/consumers, ordering and idempotency; non-functional testing incl. failover.
• Test Environment Management and Service Virtualization (Mocking/Stubbing).
• Excellent German language skills at C1 level for customers and teammates.
• Curiosity about technology and genuine enthusiasm for testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, perform and document manual tests with focus on user needs and quality.
• Develop, maintain and run automated end-to-end tests across boundaries.
• Carry out interface and API tests and translate findings into insights.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for reliable delivery.
• Explore meaningful uses of AI in testing.
