Job summary

BD in Vienna is seeking a detail-oriented Software Test Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of software products. You will work with developers, product owners and international Scrum teams to identify issues early and deliver a seamless user experience.

Responsibilities include manual and automated testing, exploratory testing, and defect reporting. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and proficiency in Cypress/Playwright with TypeScript/Python, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences or a related field or equivalent work experience.
Professional experience as a Test Engineer, Software Quality Engineer, or similar role.
Familiarity with test automation tools (e.g. Cypress, Playwright) and scripting languages (e.g. TypeScript, Python).
Fluent in English.
Analytical mindset and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Test User Stories and Bugs: Validate implemented features and verify bug fixes against product specifications.
Exploratory Testing: Perform ad-hoc testing to uncover unexpected issues and improve product quality.
Automated Testing: Write, maintain, and enhance automated test cases in Cypress for regression and functional testing.
Manual Test Execution: Execute manual test cases once per Program Increment.
Defect Reporting: Document and report defects with clear reproduction steps and collaborate with developers for resolution.
Continuous Improvement: Contribute to improving testing processes, tools, and frameworks.
