Job summary

ams OSRAM in Austria is seeking a Head of Industrial Engineering (d/m/f) to bridge strategy and execution, driving data-based insights and fact-driven decisions across the organization. You will design and operate production systems to meet demand efficiently, translate objectives into capacity plans and CapEx strategies, and advance IE as a key enabling function in a semiconductor environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations, Semiconductor Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in semiconductor manufacturing or high-tech production environments.
• Strong background in capacity planning, modeling, data analysis and simulation.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional and strategic initiatives.
• Excellent stakeholder management across technical and business functions.
• Analytical mindset translating complexity into clear insights.
• Proactive, structured and results-driven working style.
• English required; German language skills are a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and further develop Industrial Engineering as a key driver of efficiency, productivity and operational predictability
• Translate strategic targets into actionable capacity, cost and investment frameworks
• Develop capacity models and simulation tools for mid- and long-term planning
• Lead CapEx planning and evaluation, including structured business case development and equipment strategy
• Enable stakeholders with fact-based input for investment decision processes
• Define optimized production layouts aligned with technology roadmap and growth
• Lead cross-functional projects across operations, engineering, supply chain and finance
• Establish and maintain robust data foundations and KPIs for capacity, capex and performance
