Job summary

ams-OSRAM AG in Austria invites applications for an IT Engineer for Automation & Manufacturing. You will develop and improve automation solutions for semiconductor manufacturing and integrate production equipment into the Manufacturing IT landscape.

You will collaborate with Production, Equipment Engineering and IT to optimize processes, create technical documentation, and support users with questions. English and German skills required; occasional travel expected.

Qualifications

HTL/Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Automation, Electronics or related field.
Strong enthusiasm for IT, software and automation.
Initial experience with software development, databases, IT networks, scripting or automation systems is advantageous.
Willingness to travel occasionally and to learn new technologies quickly.

Responsibilities

Developing and improving automation solutions for semiconductor manufacturing.
Integrating production equipment into the Manufacturing IT landscape.
Analyzing and resolving issues in complex automation and software systems.
Developing and executing tests for new software and automation solutions.
Collaborating with Production, Equipment Engineering and IT to optimize manufacturing processes.
Contributing to Manufacturing IT, digitalization and automation projects.
Creating technical documentation and training materials.
Supporting users and production teams with technical questions.
