Job summary

HOERBIGER is seeking a Senior Group Tax Manager (m/f/d) in Austria to lead complex international tax projects and drive strategic tax initiatives across the group. You will partner with Finance, Legal and business teams, coordinating stakeholders across countries to deliver practical, compliant solutions.

You bring at least 8 years of international tax experience, strong project leadership, and a business-minded approach.

Qualifications

8+ years of international tax experience, ideally in a multinational company or Big Four environment.
Proven track record leading complex international tax projects and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
Strong business mindset with practical, solution-oriented tax delivery.
Clear, confident communication with senior stakeholders, advisors, and authorities.

Responsibilities

Lead international tax projects from concept through implementation across countries and entities.
Drive strategic transactions, including tax workstreams for M&A and restructurings.
Coordinate cross-functional teams, local organizations, and external advisors to translate tax requirements into business solutions.
Manage external relationships with tax authorities and external advisors to ensure cooperative, compliant processes.
Balance priorities, dependencies, timelines, and tax risks to keep projects moving forward.
Provide trusted tax expertise as a key interface between Tax, Finance, Legal, and business.
