Job summary

IIASA is seeking a Project Officer to support the Energy, Climate, and Environment Program (ECE) in Laxenburg, near Vienna, Austria. The role focuses on assisting with external and collaborative projects, including HealthySSPs and Horizon Europe-funded initiatives, handling reporting, outreach, and content across consortia.

The successful candidate will contribute to project dissemination, financial management, and compliance, working closely with CER, GM, and research groups to advance science

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in natural sciences, engineering, economics or social sciences.
• Proven project management experience in an international setting.
• Excellent written and oral communication, with policy-relevant reporting.
• Fluent in English with strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support organization and management of proposals and project reports.
• Assist with dissemination, outreach, and content development for consortia.
• Prepare reporting and compliance documentation for funders.
• Create and maintain project webpages, newsletters, and social media content.
• Coordinate meetings and events, including virtual and in-person activities.
• Support program managers with funding, administration, and planning.
• Ensure compliance with institutional rules and donor requirements.
• Assist with grant proposal preparation and project management tools.
