Job summary

ALPLA Group in Hard, Austria is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead pharmaceutical packaging, closure and medical device projects from kickoff through industrialization and handover.

You will coordinate with international customers, suppliers and internal teams, manage complex portfolios, and drive qualification, validation and production readiness while ensuring GMP and ISO 15378 compliance. Travel approx. 15–20% is expected.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of project management experience in pharma, medical devices, healthcare packaging, plastics or injection moulding
• Strong technical understanding of injection moulding and industrialization processes
• Experience with qualification and validation activities
• Completed technical education or comparable professional experience
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Structured and solution-oriented approach with the ability to manage complex projects and multiple stakeholders
• Confident communication and strong interpersonal skills in an international environment
• Excellent written and spoken German and English
• Willingness to travel internationally, approximately 15–20%

Responsibilities

• Lead pharmaceutical packaging, closure and medical device projects from project kick-off through industrialization and production handover
• Manage complex project portfolios involving multiple products, moulds, production sites and industrialization activities
• Define and align customer requirements, product specifications, project scope and deliverables
• Coordinate closely with customers, suppliers and internal teams across Commercial, Quality, Operations, and Technical Procurement
• Drive tooling, sampling, qualification, validation and production readiness activities
• Identify and manage technical, operational, quality and project risks
• Take ownership of project plans, timelines, budgets, resources and stakeholder communication
• Support industrialization, process development and manufacturing transfers across our international production network
• Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO 15378, customer requirements and internal standards
• Secure successful project approval, production release and project closure
