Job summary

BD is developing the next generation of cloud-based medical products, including drug library software and pump management, on its BD Cloud Platform. You will work across frontend, backend, and services, using C#/.NET, React/TypeScript, Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm to deliver reliable software that helps hospitals and patients.

The role emphasizes disciplined problem solving, maintainable design, and accountability for software that works as specified.

Qualifications

• Foundational software development experience in a professional setting.
• Familiarity with modern programming languages (C#, Java, Go, or TypeScript) and ability to learn new languages quickly.
• Experience with Git, GitHub, and Docker containers; understanding service-oriented vs monolithic architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain features across cloud applications with unit tests.
• Own user stories from requirements through development and testing.
• Collaborate with Quality Engineers to verify feature correctness.
• Contribute across frontend, backend, and service integration tasks; participate in code reviews.
• Work with Kubernetes/Helm configurations and containerized apps with platform teams.
• Apply AI-assisted engineering tools critically, and validate results rather than accepting generated code uncritically.
