Job summary

Journi in Vienna is seeking a Junior Accounting & Finance Manager to oversee ongoing accounting operations, VAT filings, and the annual financial report. You will work closely with our Head of Finance to ensure accuracy and compliance.

The role covers monthly closes, accounts payable processing, and collaboration with external accountants across Austria, EU and beyond. Ideal candidates are analytical, detail-driven, fluent in English, and ready to relocate to Vienna.

Qualifications

• Initial accounting experience from work or studies.
• Analytical, detail-oriented and accurate.
• Fluent English; German at B1/B2 or higher.
• EU/Austria work eligibility and relocation to Vienna (or already based).

Responsibilities

• Run monthly accounting process and coordinate with external accountant.
• Handle VAT filings for Austria, EU, Germany, UK, Norway, US, UK and Australia.
• Manage accounts payable flow.
• Assist in annual financial report and other tax reports.
