POC is now looking for a driven Event Manager to join our team in Salzburg, Austria. In this role you will play a key role in shaping, leading and executing our global Events program, strengthening how consistently and effectively our brand shows up across all markets – from grassroots activations to key cycling, mountain bike and snow sports events, and from B2B to B2C focusses.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Event Manager is a globally facing position, responsible for owning POC’s Events program and budget, and for aligning event needs and priorities across all regions. The role is the central point of coordination between our regions (North America, EMEA and APAC) and Brand & Content (incl. Global Sports Marketing), ensuring that our B2B and B2C events and exhibitions are planned and executed on brand, with a strong focus on product launches and highlight communication.

In close alignment and collaboration with the Brand Team, the Event Manager develops frameworks and toolkits for our key events that can be re-used and adapted across the wider, global events calendar, from big events to smaller regional representations. The position is based in Salzburg, home of our central European Sales and regional marketing organisation and office, and includes leadership responsibilities of our regional event managers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Events Strategy & Program Management

• - Oversee POC’s Events program and budget
• - Define event focuses, set-up needs and development, strategy and campaign activation
• - Build reusable frameworks and toolkits for key events that can be adjusted and re-applied across the wider event calendar as well as on a local level
• - Lead regional event managers in NA & Europe and build frameworks for local event activations for the local sales teams

Cross-Functional Coordination

• - Channel and lead asset needs and activations together with Brand & Content
• - Define and oversee event-related KPIs
• - Act as the central point of contact for aligning event needs, focuses and communication assets
• - Lead and support sourcing for event materials and productions
• - Organizing global internal Sales meetings

Regional execution & on-site leadership

• - Act as event execution lead for selected global key events and central EU events and activations
• - Organize, maintain and manage the central event Set-up in Salzburg
• - Lead pre-event organization and planning for APAC

• - Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Sports Management or equivalent work experience
• - Several years of experience in event management, brand marketing or sports marketing, ideally across an international, multi-region set-up
• - Proven experience managing event budgets and cross-regional programs
• - Hands-on mentality
• - Strong stakeholder management, with the ability to align priorities across regions and departments
• - Structured and organized, with the ability to build scalable processes and re-usable playbooks
• - Strong communication and presentation skills
• - Comfortable working closely with Brand & Content
• - Passionate cyclist, skier, snowboarder or active-lifestyle-outdoor minded person preferred
• - Ability to travel internationally to key events and regional activations (min. 30%)
• - Driving Licence B

For legal reasons, we are obliged to point out the minimum salary for this position according to the collective agreement, which starts at 2535 EUR in group E (1). However, our salary packages are based on current market salaries depending on your experience and skills.
