Zusammenfassung

The World Trade Organization seeks a qualified Database Officer (maternity cover) to maintain the Environmental Database (EDB) and support data collection for environmental trade measures. You will work with IT and analytical tools to ensure accurate data entry and timely dissemination of information.

Required are two years of relevant experience in data management, strong IT skills with Office 365, and a advanced degree in economics, international relations, or law.

Qualifikationen

• Two years of relevant work experience, preferably in an international and/or multi-cultural environment.

Aufgaben

• Contribute to updates and maintenance of the WTO Environmental Database (EDB). Data collection and entry of environment-related measures from WTO notifications (over 4000 annually) and Trade Policy Review reports.
• Draft and assist in the preparation of the annual EDB report with a thematic focus to support discussions of the Committee on Trade and Environment.
• Test, verify, and fine-tune the EDB online dissemination and data entry platforms, collaborating with IT/software developers.
• Assist in ongoing IT projects to automate data entry of the EDB.
