g2 Recruitment seeks an experienced Freelance Health & Safety Manager to join a major Data Centre project in Linz, Austria. You will lead on-site HSE activities, ensuring compliance with local legislation and client requirements while driving safe practices across the site.

Starting 1 November 2026 for 9 months (with potential extension), the role offers an all-inclusive rate up to €850 per day and requires proven large-scale construction experience and strong stakeholder management.

Qualifikationen

• Proven experience as a Health & Safety Manager on large-scale construction projects.
• Experience on Data Centre, Pharmaceutical, Industrial, Infrastructure or mission-critical projects.
• Strong understanding of construction health & safety legislation and industry best practices.
• Experience conducting audits, inspections and incident investigations.
• EU Passport or the right to work within the EU.

Aufgaben

• Lead all health & safety activities across the project site.

• Conduct regular site inspections, audits and risk assessments.
• Investigate incidents and near misses, implementing corrective and preventative actions.

• Review RAMS and ensure safe systems of work are implemented and maintained.
• Monitor subcontractor compliance and promote a positive safety culture.
• Liaise with project teams, subcontractors and client representatives on HSE matters.
• Produce regular HSE reports and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join a major Data Centre project in Linz, Austria. This role requires a proactive professional with a proven track record on large-scale construction projects, ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and compliance are maintained across all site activities.

Location: Linz, Austria

Duration: 9 Months (with potential extension)

All-Inclusive Rate: Up to €850 per day

Start Date: 1st November 2026

Engagement: Freelance / Contract

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all health & safety activities across the project site.
• Ensure compliance with local legislation, client requirements, and company HSE procedures.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Investigate incidents and near misses, implementing corrective and preventative actions.
• Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and safety briefings to site personnel.
• Review RAMS and ensure safe systems of work are implemented and maintained.

• Experience conducting audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant Health & Safety qualifications (NEBOSH, NVQ, Diploma, or equivalent).
• EU Passport or the right to work within the EU.
• Experience working for a Main Contractor or General Contractor.
• Additional environmental or occupational health qualifications.
