Job summary

BRP-Rotax in Austria is seeking an embedded software engineer to drive the development of control software for Rotax powertrains. You will design and implement embedded code, develop tooling for automatic software generation, and contribute to multi-domain ECU architectures in a safety-conscious environment.

The role requires a technical degree and strong C/C++, C#, Python skills, knowledge of ASPICE/ISO26262 is a plus, and good English and German.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or master level degree in Computer Science, Telematics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
• Strong embedded software development experience and related processes.
• Knowledge of ASPICE, ISO 26262, AUTOSAR is a plus.
• Experience with multi-domain ECUs is advantageous.
• Programming skills in C, C#, Python.
• English and German language skills are good.

• Responsibility for the development of embedded software for controlling Rotax powertrains.
• Development of highly integrated tools for automatic software generation.
• Contributing to the design of a multi-domain software architecture for the next generation of electronic control units (ECUs).
• Contributing to software development processes with regard to ASPICE, ISO 26262, and cybersecurity.
• Managing software projects.

Your Skills And Experiences

• Successfully completed technical degree (University of Applied Sciences or University) in Computer Science, Telematics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
• Expertise in embedded software development, including the design and implementation of associated development processes.
• Knowledge of software development standards such as ASPICE, ISO 26262, and AUTOSAR is an advantage.
• Knowledge of multi-domain electronic control units (ECUs) is an advantage.
• Programming skills in C, C#, and Python.
• Understanding of electrical and/or internal combustion engine powertrain technology is an advantage.
• Very good English and good German language skills.
• A proactive personality with enthusiasm for the powersports industry.

The minimum salary for this position is EUR 60,962.32 € gross/year in accordance with the collective agreement for the metal industry.
