Job summary

Infineon in Austria is seeking a motivated student for an acoustics-focused trainee position. You will perform independent electroacoustic measurements on ASIC-based components, using a variety of lab equipment, and validate key audio specs such as SNR, THD, and frequency responses.

You will support automation and data preparation using MATLAB or Python, and contribute to efficient measurement workflows. Flexible hours, min. 6 months, English required, German a plus.

Qualifications

• Education: motivated student in electrical engineering, information technology, physics, media technology, acoustics or a related field.
• Technical: basic understanding of analog and digital circuit technology including ASICs, and acoustics/signal processing
• Practical: some lab experience and programming skills (Python or MATLAB)
• Language: good English; German an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Acoustics: conduct independent electroacoustic measurements in an anechoic room or measurement boxes
• Lab Equipment: use lab measurement equipment (Audio Precision, oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers)
• Audio Validation: validate SNR, THD, and frequency responses
• Automation: support measurement workflows with MATLAB or Python
• Data Preparation: record measurements and prepare data for the development team
