Job summary

ams OSRAM AG in Premstaetten, Austria, seeks an Electrical Engineer for Facility Management on a temporary basis through October 2027. You will design, implement and supervise power distribution, create EPLAN diagrams, and manage 20 kV and UPS systems. The role includes on-call duties and PLC programming.

Experience with high-power distribution, strict engineering standards, and German language proficiency are essential. Hybrid work model and competitive compensation are offered.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and supervise new installations and extensions to power supply systems.

• Operate, service and fault analyze electrical supply systems including UPS and 20 kV levels.
• Coordinate projects with facility departments and external contractors.
• Support apprenticeship training and PLC system programming.

Your new responsibilities

• Electrical engineering design, implementation and supervision of new installations and extensions to existing power supply and distribution systems
• Design and creation of electrical circuit diagrams using EPLAN
• Operation, servicing, maintenance and fault analysis of electrical supply systems, including 20 kV, UPS and emergency power systems
• Carrying out electrical installation, repair and testing work
• Technical documentation and maintenance of relevant system data
• Operation and programming of PLC systems
• Management and programming of the energy monitoring system, including the integration of energy meters
• Support for planning and construction projects
• Project coordination with other facility departments and supervision of external contractors
• Apprenticeship Training

Who we are looking for

• Electrical Engineering (Befähigungsprüfung) qualification required, or equivalent
• More than 10 years’ professional experience in the operation and maintenance of industrial electrical installations
• In-depth knowledge of the relevant electrical engineering standards
• Technical expertise in 20 kV power supply systems, UPS and emergency power systems, including the associated power distribution systems
• In-depth practical experience with high-power power supply and distribution systems at various voltage levels
• Experience in the electrical engineering design and implementation of facility systems
• Willingness to be on call for one week per month (7 days a week)
• Proficiency in using standard PC software and PLC software
• Very good command of German and good command of English
• Ability to work independently and flexibly
