Prewave is seeking a Data Science Engineer to turn vast data into actionable intelligence from day one. You will apply NLP and ML to real-world supply chain risks and deploy production models.

You will own end-to-end data science work, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and continuously improve model performance, data sources, and production readiness.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS, statistics, mathematics or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in developing, deploying and scaling ML models to production.
• Experience with NLP or ML technologies and tools like Torch or TensorFlow.
• Good experience in Python and Scala.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.

We're looking for a Data Science Engineer who takes ownership of turning vast, complex data into actionable intelligence from day one. Someone who uses AI as a default part of how they work - and knows when to trust their own judgment.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN

• Decode the data – Leverage natural language processing (NLP) to extract meaning from diverse datasets.
• Think like a scientist – Formulate hypotheses, uncover patterns, and pinpoint optimization opportunities.
• Build smarter AI – Develop, fine-tune, and deploy machine learning models using Torch and TensorFlow.
• Bridge research & reality – Transform cutting-edge algorithms into production-ready solutions.
• Keep models sharp – Monitor, enhance, and continuously improve model performance and accuracy.
• Expand the data universe – Identify and integrate new data sources to enrich our intelligence.
• Collaborate & innovate – Work with cross-functional teams to tackle business challenges with data-driven solutions.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

You are the right fit if you have:

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or related fields
• 3+ years of experience in developing, deploying and scaling machine learning models to production
• Experience with NLP or other machine learning technologies, machine learning techniques and tools like Torch or Tensorflow
• Good experience in working with Python and Scala
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Strong problem-solving skills, comfortable with ambiguity and open-ended questions
• End-to-end ownership, from prototyping a model to deploying and monitoring it in production

Nice to have:

• Master’s degree in a related field
• Understanding of cloud-based services, especially Google Cloud Platform or AWS
• Knowledge of NoSQL database systems
• Knowledge of agile software development techniques
• Experience with agent engineering and AI tools like Cursor, Claude etc.

THE PACKAGE

Minimum EUR 45,738 gross annually based on IT Collective Agreement. Flexible hours and hybrid working.
